About Sporttarps™ & Pittarps™

SPORTTARPS™ began in the racing industry when we developed The Original Pit Road Raintarp. These heavy duty road covers became a familiar sight during rain delays as Nascar teams rushed to cover their pit areas. The term "Pittarp" developed to describe these impressive road covers. And they were certainly hard to miss with the Sponsors logos splashed boldly across each large tarp. And so, Sporttarps "Pittarp" became a staple inventory item for most race teams in many of the racing venues.

SPORTTARPS™ then began expansion of our product line to include other sports, such as baseball and tennis. The baseball industry has also quickly embraced the impressive logo and sponsor imprinted mound and home plate tarps. Marketing departments were quick to embrace the idea of selling mound space to advertisers creating a lucrative new revenue stream. The tennis industry too has discovered there is more to fencing than green screens. Club recognition along with sponsorship promotion has opened options for those in this industry as well.
